NOTICE TO LANDLORDS & PARTICIPANTS REGARDING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHUT-DOWN AND RENTAL ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS

The current shut-down of the Federal Government impacts nine Federal agencies, including the U S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As a result, we have been advised that HUD is unable to issue rental assistance payments to Housing Authorities until the shut-down ends.

At this time, we anticipate that Pender County Housing will be unable to issue rental assistance payments for January 2019 until such time as the shut-down is resolved and HUD can issue rental assistance funding to us.

We regret the inconvenience that the situation causes and will issue payments as soon as the Federal Government re-opens and normal funding activities resume.
