Pender County Utilities has rescinded the May 26, 2019 System Pressure Advisory issued to its water customers in all areas of Hampstead, Scott’s Hill, and south of 7390 NC 210 in Rocky Point.  System pressures have risen to higher levels that are closer to normal.

Bacteriological analysis results of drinking water samples collected after the pressure loss from this water system show no coliform bacteria present.  Pender County Utilities water customers may use the water without boiling.

The Stage 3 Mandatory Water Restrictions II remain in effect at this time.  All non-essential uses of drinking water are banned and garden and landscape irrigation must be reduced to the minimum amount necessary for survival.

Thank you.

This advisory is hereby rescinded the 29th day of May 2019:

Kenny Keel, Director      Pender County Utilities     910-259-1570
