In 2019, she graduated with a degree in marine technology from Cape Fear Community College. After graduating, Erin joined Pender County Utilities as a water plant operator in 2020, consistently earning new surface water treatment licenses each year.
Erin's rise within the organization showcases her capability and dedication. In 2023, she was promoted to Chief Operator, where she gained valuable knowledge from the Plant Superintendent, further deepening her expertise in water treatment operations. Now, as she steps into the superintendent role, Erin is strategically focused on optimizing treatment methods for removing organic compounds and "forever contaminants," addressing the evolving challenges in water management.
