Updates to the GIS Website
Pender County received new aerial imagery that was captured in early 2016. The new imagery was funded by the NC911 Board and will support 911 communications as well as local government’s needs. The imagery is free for download through the NC OneMap Geospatial Portal.
Along with adding the new imagery to our GIS website, there were also updates that included new search options and a new tool. You can now easily search for cemeteries from the main search tab instead of having to use the “Query” tool. A new “Draw” tool was added that will allow the end user the ability to draw a variety of items on their map including shapes and text boxes. Also, the Pender County Voluntary Agricultural Districts have been added under the Planning Group.
We strive to make your experience using Pender County’s GIS website enjoyable and useful. If you have any questions regarding these updates or the website please contact the Pender County GIS Administrator, Josh Norwood at 910-259-0129
