The 2011 Municipal Elections will be held on Tuesday November 8, 2011 for the Towns of Atkinson, Topsail Beach, Surf City, Burgaw, and the Village of St. Helena all located in Pender County, North Carolina to elect the following offices:

• Town of Atkinson: Mayor and 4 Commissioners - View Sample Ballot
• Town of Burgaw: 3 Commissioners - View Sample Ballot
• Town of Surf City: Mayor and 3 Councilmen - View Sample Ballot
• Town of Topsail Beach: Mayor and 2 Commissioners - View Sample Ballot
• Village of St Helena: Mayor and 3 Councilmen - View Sample Ballot

Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Absentee ballots are allowed. Requests for an absentee ballot must be made in writing and received in the Pender County Board of Elections office by 5:00 p.m. on November 1, 2011. One-stop early voting will be held in the Board of Elections Office at 807 S Walker St. Burgaw beginning at 8:00 a.m. on October 20, 2011 and ending at 1:00 p.m. on November 5, 2011. One-stop voting hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 am until 5:00 pm and on Saturday November 5th only, from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm. Canvass Day will be held at 11:00 am in the Board of Elections office in Burgaw, North Carolina on November 15, 2011.
