Notice of Public Hearings on Pender County Comprehensive Land Use Plan

Notice is hereby given that Pender County will conduct public hearings to receive public comment and discuss amendments to the County’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan to meet CAMA Land Use Planning Requirements.

The Pender County Planning Board will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 7:00 PM in the Board of Commissioners’ Chambers located at 805 South Walker Street, Burgaw, NC. Following the public hearing, the Planning Board will consider a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners regarding the proposed amendment.

The Pender County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Monday, July 23, 2012, at 7:00 PM in the Board of Commissioners’ Chambers located at 805 South Walker Street, Burgaw, NC. Following the public hearing, the Board of Commissioners will consider adoption of the amendment. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend each public hearing.

Once adopted, the amendment will be submitted to the Coastal Resources Commission for certification. Written objections, comments, or statements of support may be submitted to the DCM District Planner, Mike Christenbury, 127 Cardinal Drive Extension, Wilmington, NC 28405, no less than 15 business days prior to the August 29-30 CRC meeting at which the amendment is scheduled to be considered for certification.
