Burgaw, N.C. (October 27, 2009) – Chairman Jimmy Tate of the Pender County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce the Maple Hill Community Sewer Project is back on track and can continue moving forward. Grant funding has now been obtained from the NC Rural Center in the amount of $2,774,614, and from the Clean Water Management Trust Fund (CWMTF) in the amount of $1,463,000. According to Chairman Tate, “the recent reinstatement of CWMTF grant funding has allowed the status of this project to go from being “on hold” to “moving toward construction”, and our Board members are ecstatic after waiting so long”.
