PENDER COUNTY, NC – In response to the recent devastating effects of Hurricane Florence, Pender County will accept emergency storm-related work as long as the work is being done by a licensed contractor or electrician. Once the work is completed by the licensed contractor or electrician, the power provider will release the power to the structure.
We are asking that the work performed be called in through the normal inspection request phone number (910) 259-1524) “requestors will be able to provide their scope of work, property address, and licensing information to immediately begin the permitting process.” Pender County will issue an after-the-fact permit and perform the inspection as soon as we’re able.
“We’re asking the public to be patient as we work through this process as assuring building safety is our top priority. Recovery is our top priority and all other non-emergency storm related requests will be postponed until further notice.”
