Water customers of Pender County Utilities, in Pender County in the Hampstead and Scott’s Hill areas are advised to conserve water to the maximum extent possible today, Friday September 6, 2019 until further notice.  Due to a water main break in the western part of Pender County, the system has limited water availability to all areas served by Pender County Utilities.  While water pressures are currently within normal range in Hampstead and Scott’s Hill, there is the possibility that sufficient water may not be available to replenish the elevated water tanks in the area as water is used.  We expect this conservation advisory to be necessary through Sunday September 8th but will advise further as more information becomes available.

Customers are requested to use bottled water and other sources for water as much as possible.  Water customers are strongly urged to conserve water whenever possible until further notice.

This advisory remains in effect until further written notification is issued.
