COVID-19 Vaccine Update
The Moderna Vaccine is approved for 18 years and older.
Pender County Health Department will be following NCDHHS vaccine guidance for priority groups.
We are currently vaccinating:
- Group 1-Healthcare Workers
- Group 2-Individuals 65 Years of Age or Older
- Group 3-Essential Frontline Workers
- Part of Group 4 – People With At Least One High Risk Medical Condition
To better serve our community we ask that you monitor the County’s website (www.pendercountync.gov) Facebook page, and the local news for updates on vaccine availability.
There is a new phone line dedicated to taking calls exclusive to COVID-19 vaccination information. The phone number is 910-663-4200.
Personnel are standing by 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday to answer calls regarding the COVID-19 vaccination.
Vaccinations will be offered at two locations:
- Burgaw Health Department
- Hampstead Annex
PLEASE BRING YOUR COVID-19 VACCINATION CARD TO YOUR 2ND APPOINTMENT
*PLEASE NOTE*
You cannot receive the COVID-19 vaccine if:
- You are currently isolated and have not recovered from COVID-19
- You have received a vaccine of any kind (other than for COVID-19) in the last 14 days
- You have pending test results due to an exposure
- You have received convalescent therapy for COVID-19 in the last 90 days
