Broadband

On November 15, 2021, the Pender  County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt a Digital Inclusion Plan that will position the County to take advantage of the expansive broadband funding that the State will make available later this year. This plan was developed by a Broadband Committee that was created with community stakeholders and a partnership with ATMC, who was awarded a USDA grant for $21.6 million to help fund the Faster Pender project to bring internet to rural areas of Pender County (Press Release).  Below you will find the Digitial Inclusion Plan and below that, you will find a link to the Faster Pender website to learn more.
