Pender County is soliciting proposals from Licensed General Contractors to construct a new 1,900 square foot storage building behind the District Attorney’s office (Biberstein Annex Building) at 102 S. Walker St., Burgaw, NC  28425.  There are existing structures that will have to be demolished and removed as part of this project to make space for this storage facility.  The primary use for this storage facility will be storage of confidential court records.  This is an important and time-sensitive project for Pender County and the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts.  Visit https://pendercountync.gov/public-notices/open-rfps-and-bids/ to view the full Request for Proposals #23-250.  Questions must be emailed to purchasing@pendercountync.gov no later than May 10, 2023 at 2pm.  Proposals shall be submitted in person or by FedEx/UPS/courier to 805 S. Hampstead Park Design, Engineering and Construction Administration, RFQ # 23-247

Pender County is seeking Statements of Qualifications from NC licensed engineering firms to provide design, engineering, permitting and construction contract administration for the completion of a public park expansion.  The Kiwanis Park in Hampstead, NC is located less than 1 mile off Highway 17 and has been a generational facility that has grown over the past 18 years.  An expansion phase for the park has been approved for construction and has received partial grant funding to have a completion by the September 2025.  This expansion phase will include two (2) multipurpose fields, six (6) tennis courts, four (4) pickleball courts, two (2) outdoor basketball courts, a multi-use path (2000 linear feet), a playground, a lawn game area, a picnic shelter/restroom facility, and parking.  The budget for this project is $2,000,000 and completion is required by September 2025. Pender Central Park Design, Engineering and Construction Administration, RFQ # 23-242

RFP # 210416-122 for Audit Services

The Board of Pender County, North Carolina invites qualified independent auditors having sufficient governmental accounting and auditing experience in performing an audit in accordance with the specifications outlined in this Request for Proposal (RFP) to submit a proposal.

There is no expressed or implied obligation for the Pender County to reimburse firms for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals in response to this request.

The specific details shown herein shall be considered minimum unless otherwise shown. The specifications, terms, and conditions included with this RFP shall govern in any resulting contract(s) unless approved otherwise in writing by the Pender County. The bidder consents to personal jurisdiction and venue in a state court of competent jurisdiction in Pender County, North Carolina.

Invitation to Bid Water Treatment Chemicals: Ferric Sulfate and Sodium Hydroxide

Pender County issued Invitation to Bid #201104-111 for Water Treatment Chemicals:  Ferric Sulfate and Sodium Hydroxide today.  Bidders may bid on one or both chemicals.  A multi-tiered award may be made to a maximum of three (3) Vendors; a primary, secondary and tertiary Vendor for each chemical.  Any questions are due to Anthony Colon at acolon@pendercountync.gov by November 9th at 5pm. Bids are due no later than November 18th at 2pm in the Pender County Utilities front office located at 605 E. Fremont St., Burgaw, NC  28425.  Perspective bidders must read the full Invitation to Bid and check back periodically for possible Addenda.  Pender County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Addendum #1 – RFP # 201021-110 Emergency Watershed Protection- Management/Consulting Services

Pender County is extending both the deadline for Questions and the deadline for Proposals on RFP # 201021-110 “Emergency Watershed Protection – Management/Consulting Services” as expressed in  Addendum #1.   Questions should be emailed to thenley@pendercountync.gov no later than 5pm EST on November 10, 2020.  Sealed Proposals must be delivered to the Planning Director, 805 S. Walker St., Burgaw, NC  28425 no later than 2pm EST on November 17, 2020.

 

Request for Proposal # 201015-109 for Legal Services

This request for proposal (RFP) is to contract for legal services to be provided to Pender County for the period from January 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. Legal services requested are primarily in the field of land use regulation and enforcement of related ordinances as well as grant administration.   Only attorneys who are currently licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina and maintain an office in North Carolina or law firms including such attorneys, may respond to this RFP.

Pender County seeks to establish a contract with a qualified consultant to provide Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Management/Consulting Services. The selected Consultant will define and execute services necessary for managing the emergency watershed program for recovery of damages from Hurricane Florence and future declared disasters (both natural and human-caused). The primary responsibility of the Consultant will be to provide management support to the Planning and Community Development Department during implementation of the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) EWP Program. This includes implementing watershed management program goals, managing construction restoration and stabilization of identified funded projects to reduce imminent threat to life, and loss of property. These services may be expanded by the County, modified, or altered to encompass other County or Departmental needs for accomplishing emergency watershed protection or floodplain management goals.
