On-Site Wastewater Program
The On-Site Wastewater Program is responsible for protecting the safety and quality of drinking water by ensuring that all septic systems and drinking water wells in the county are appropriately designed, constructed, and safely operated. Environmental Health Specialists (EHS) provide technical guidance and counseling on new septic systems, and on the repair and maintenance of old systems. EHS’s conduct appropriate soil tests to determine the suitability of a property for a septic system.
