The School Based Health Centers were established by a nonprofit group called Pender Alliance for Teen Health (PATH).  The centers make healthcare more accessible to students and their families.  The Pender County Health Department is the medical provider at each of the three School-Based Health Centers.   Children who are enrolled in the centers can seek medical attention right at school with our Family Nurse Practitioner. Coastal Horizons also offers  Behavioral/Mental Health and Counseling in our centers.

The School Based Health Centers offer the following services:

Kindergarten Health Assessments

Sick Visits

Immunizations

Hearing and Vision Screenings

Behavioral/Mental Health

Pender County Health Department offers a Sliding Fee Scale Discount based on family size and income.  Please call 910-259-1230 for a Sliding Fee Scale Application.  No one will be denied services based on inability to pay.
