Update from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) regarding November SNAP benefits.
NCDHHS reports that full November SNAP benefits are expected to be loaded on EBT cards by Friday morning, Nov. 14. This follows the federal government’s resolution to end the shutdown and new guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Some households may see their November benefits arrive earlier than usual, based on their normal issuance date. December benefits will be distributed on the regular schedule.
SNAP recipients should continue to monitor their EBT card balances. Benefits already on the card are available to use. Balances can be checked through the ebtEDGE app, at ebtEDGE.com, or by calling 1-888-622-7328.
Pender County also maintains a Community Resource Guide with information on local food pantries and resources.
