BURGAW, N.C. – Pamela Brame, Human Resources Director, was honored with the Old North State Award during the recent Pender County Board of Commissioners meeting, recognizing her more than 20 years of dedicated service to the State of North Carolina.
Kimberly Wickline-Bennett presented the award, praising Brame’s unwavering dedication, wisdom, and generosity that have shaped not only her career but the lives of many others.
“She embodies the very best of what it means to serve—leading with integrity, compassion, and unshakable commitment,” said Wickline-Bennett.
Brame lightheartedly remarked that the award is typically given upon retirement, adding, “I still have several years to go.” Wickline-Bennett quipped back, prompting Brame to add with a smile, “But not ten.”
The Old North State Award is one of North Carolina’s most prestigious honors, recognizing individuals who have devoted over two decades of service marked by excellence and dedication that extends beyond expectations.
