Burn Ban Update

Effective at 8 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, a burn ban has been issued for the unincorporated areas within Pender County due to very high fire danger conditions.

All burning within 100 feet of any structure is banned within the unincorporated areas of Pender County. 

The burn ban will remain in place until further notice. For questions about the burn ban, contact the Pender County Fire Marshal's Office to read the release the Pender County Fire Marshal sent out regarding the burn ban visit New Flash.

In addition to the local burn ban, the North Carolina Forest Service has issued a ban on all open burning, including land clearing, and has canceled all burning permits statewide effective 8 a.m. Friday, March 21, until further notice.
