BURGAW, NC – Pender County Parks and Recreation with Pender County Schools, is proud to announce a Special Olympics Community Partnership Meeting, inviting community members and leaders to explore meaningful ways to support and celebrate the remarkable athletes of Special Olympics.

This important gathering will bring together residents, business leaders, educators, elected officials, and other key stakeholders to discuss opportunities for partnership in hosting a Special Olympics Spring Games in Pender County in 2026. Attendees will learn how they can get involved through volunteering, sponsorship, event hosting, or community advocacy.
