Residential Household Items and Construction Debris
Once a day, small loads under 200 pounds of residential household items, furniture, and a mattress or construction debris can be disposed of in Construction and Demolition (C&D) bins at the convenience centers in Burgaw, Rocky Point, Willard, and the Transfer Station Scale House in Hampstead. This service is for Individual residential disposal only.
For Burgaw, Willard, and Rocky Point Convenience Centers, a full-use sticker must be attached to the driver's side of the windshield on the vehicle.
The transfer station scale house is for all Pender County residents, ID or driving license is required. If not provided, an out-of-county disposal fee will be charged.
Transfer Station Scale House
Service to all Pender County residents on Monday through Saturday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The Pay as You Go Weigh Station PC County C&D Charge is $78 per ton with an out-of-county charge of $162 per ton. We do not accept cash or checks. We only accept Visa/ Mastercard/ Discover. If you have any questions, then call 910-270-5011. Contractors with large quantities of debris can make disposal arrangements with the Sampson County Landfill at 910-525-4132.
